      Firstly, I'd like to apologise on behalf of Cometocapetown for the incorrect address given on your booking documents. We have now updated our website to ensure this won't happen again. I can only imagine how frustrating that experience was. Humblest apologies!

  25. The apartment was lovely, however it was not ready for occupation, the list of things that had not been checked was long and maintenance had obviously not been done. Though most were fixed while we were there, the diswasher was broken on arrival and was never fixed during our 10 day stay. Suggesting that we leave this for the maid to do was unacceptable as this caused the kitchen to be full of insects and smell so I had to do it, not something I expect to do on holiday, especially given the cost of this apartment. – How would you describe our performance overall?

      I am very sorry that your experience at Driftwood was not the best. I am very saddened that the property was not in top order as we rely on the suppliers, who we source our villas through, to look after them so that they are ready for our guests.

      I personally wish there was more I could have done from my side as the agent, however I did try my best to get the team on your issues ASAP. The one day I called them 4 times to make sure they actually were sending someone there to ensure they could fix as many issues as possible to ensure your stay was the best.

      I will forward your feedback on to the property manager as well as the Director of the company that manages Driftwood, as I am really upset about this and I hope they will come back with with some sort of decent resolution.

      Thank you very much for taking time to provide feedback on your stay. We appreciate this and strive to ensure that such feedback is used to better our service and offering in future.

      I sincerely apologise for the misunderstanding with regards to the location of the Villa. It is advertised as being in Constantia as Purcell generally is viewed as part of the Constantia area. I do however understand and appreciate that the villa is located across the area demarcation and as such we will update this on our listings in future. It was not our intention to be misleading in this regard.

      The villa is a self catering establishment and amenities are generally supplied once as a starter pack and may not necessarily be replaced. We will however chat to the property owner and manager regarding cutlery and crockery as well as suggesting the replacement of the dining room table with one that is a bit more spacious.

      Our understanding is that the owner did come through as often as he could to ensure the pool was clean but as the weather was bad and Cape Town is quite windy during this season, this was somewhat difficult to maintain.

      We apologise once again for the inconveniences you faced during the stay and hope you will not be deterred from working with us again. To express our apologies, please find attached a 5% Discount voucher redeemable on your next booking directly with us.

      Thank you very much for your feedback and apologies for all the disturbances during your stay at Victoria Views

      I spoke to the property manager and they are extremely apologetic for the issues that occurred that you mentioned during your stay

      With regards to the construction, the hammering was in the apartment below. This was not a scheduled construction so not something we could have controlled.
      Carolyn who is the property manager had no formal communication about work in the apartment nor did the homeowner receive any notification.

      Unfortunately Carolyn did not realise that you were in the apartment and hence let herself in. She was concerned that the buzzer was not operative from below and so wanted to get it fixed.
      I advised her that a courtesy call would have been more appreciated by the guest rather than her just entering the apartment.

      We apologise that you did not enjoy your stay however please be assured, from a privacy aspect, this will not occur in the future.
